Back home- la la casa

After a delightful Megabus ride back into Minneapolis, MN and a lovely evening with my friend Chris, I am back in my home town of Hudson, WI. I got in around 6pm and stayed in the cities for the night. I enjoyed catching up and sharing the company with Chris and his roommate Mike then heading to a great restaurant called Psycho Suzies http://psychosuzis.com/ AND watching Moulin Rouge- haven’t seen in ages! I am working on unpacking and re-packing my bag for Peru now and organizing my life a bit while I am in this transition of really having no concrete place of my own. For a long time now I haven’t really had a place to call home. Looking back, it’s been since 2009. Living in Puerto Rico for 6 months and then displaced in MN upon return and then Hudson and Superior, WI then off to Brattleboro, VT where I moved 3 times! Yes it’s been quite the time and I am looking forward to Peru now where I will be for a year. After bags are packed I intend on spending as much time with friends and family as possible before I leave in about a weeks time. Tomorrow I plan on going to Walgreens and making myself a photo album of my biking journey to bring to South America with me so I have something to look at from back home. I also will print photos too to make homey my new place.

I have so many people to thank for such an incredible trip.

Saffi and Francisco B, Field Horne, Lindsey and Drake, Kaaren the biking art teacher, The Alpaca family, Mark and his AMAZING family, Mr. Biotech Consultant and sailor captain man Aaron W, Rose from Our Lady Fatima Shrine, the Hostel in Toronto, Blue Moon Yacht Crew, Lindsay H and Doctor Trisa, Tiana and Tim, Chris M. and my mom and dad. And ALL the people along the way that offered me help, suggestions, bike maintenance, stories, money, food, encouragement and prayers. I love you and appreciate you all so much!!!!

I can’t wait until my next trip! Oh, and it will happen. Dolores and I are ready.
