Made it to Canada
Well I did it. And I am not boasting nor very impressed with how far I rode today. Lewiston to Niagara Falls. A few minor set backs were: intense sun (I have a burnt back), getting the lights put on me by a cop (he was only trying to help and suggested the hwy that I needed to take), and a hold up at Customs (they took my pepper spray! …didn’t know protecting yourself was against the...

Too short of a day
I spent 5 hours at Our Lady Of Fatima Shrine today and it was nice. After mass I needed to get on the road. I’m at Hostel International in Ontario and working on getting organized and staying so. I still feel like there is so much to do before I can enjoy myself. I’m just so anxious and I don’t know why. I am definitely excited for my journey to continue…not exactly the...
Olcott, NY
Got going late today and so now just on the road. Stopped in at a campgrounds and motel spot to see if there were any cell phone chargers or AA batteries for my camera and phone and sure enough, they had both! Three older men (quite the characters) helped me out and in between showing me their guns from the Civil War, WWI and target practice, they fixed me up a bite to eat for the road of two...
Strong Hearts
Just had an ama-ZING bfast at Strong Hearts Cafe in Syracuse, NY. All vegan and no animals harmed in the process. I would highly recommend the “Egg” (tofu) Trick McCruelty-free muffin. Avocados, tomatoes, vegan cheese, gimme lean sausage, and Fair Trade coffee to boot! Mark’s vegan and raw diet was not accustomed to coffe but he splurged in celebration of seeing his little sister...

A day in Utica, NY
I am so lucky to have met such amazing people along the way. Each time I tell people I am riding to WI, the western part, I get gasps of disbelief…and some horror. Yet, all has been going so well and I have had great fortune. I am learning more about yoga and have been enlightened by my older brother Mark who is a yogi teacher and great story teller. I am at his parent’s home right now...

During my days in Saratoga Springs, NY
After waking up from my slumber in the yard of Field Horne, www.saratogaliving.com, I went off to explore the area. I went to Skidmore College where I managed to add some bruises and “skid-more”. I saw the Saratoga race track and did some video tapping inside where I was able to sneak in… I enjoyed yummy kimchee, sauerkraut and an assortment of pickled pickles from...
